Born from a desire to camp by the beach with a touch of luxe comfort, where you can reflect on the good ol’ days spent by the ocean during the day and the open air at night. The owners are born and bred Northern NSW and want to share this part of the world with locals and visitors alike.
Formerly the Cabarita Beach Caravan Park, The Hideaway has kept the charm of the natural environment and added spacious bell tents with all the modern trimmings, like floor fans, soft furnishings, indoor and outdoor furniture, Koala Mattress beds, bar fridges and air-conditioning (available in selected tents).
The open fires of the original caravan park have told many a tale and when the current owners purchased the land they were adamant about keeping the park for the public to use, not for just another apartment block. They’ve added their touch to the site with modern amenities such as the spacious bell tents and recycled shipping containers- indicative of The Hideaway style.
Cabarita Beach is home to world-class surfing breaks, pristine untouched beaches, national parks and spectacular headland walks. The quaint shopping village found in the centre of the town also offers a local butcher, bike maker and a plethora of coffee shops and eateries.
The Tweed Coast boasts an ideal climate year-round and with quiet beaches; vast valleys and the hinterland only a short drive away, it’s the perfect place to relax and hide away from it all.
